1. Basic fee
The fees remunerate the work of the counsel as such, regardless of the expenses generated by his activity.
The fees include the services such as studies of the law or the facts, his advises and opinions, the drafting of the procedural documents, of agreements or written findings, meetings useful to the case, legal studies, pleadings, exchange of the usual correspondence, as well as any step related to the handling of the case.
The basic fee is determined by the time devoted by counsel to the case, with a possible corrective measure according to the importance of the stakes or the good result obtained.
Basic rate - The fees of counsel will be computed in accordance with the basic hourly fee agreed in the particular conditions, which is among others proportionate to the expertise of counsel (and of his partners and associates active in the case).
- The basic rate may be increased with 50 %, according to the emergency requested by the client or required by the case as such.
- The basic rate will be lowered by 50 % for non-productive time, such as waiting time before hearings or travel time.
- The time devoted to the purely administrative management of the case is evaluated contractually on the basis of the number of exchanged mails, at a rate of 10 minutes per page of mail (including the corrective reading).
- The time devoted to the intellectual handling of the case (legal studies, drafting of agreements or procedural documents, negotiations, pleadings, etc.) is computed according to the time actually devoted to the case by counsel and his partners and associates working under his responsibility.
2. Complementary fees
In the event of total or partial success of the mission entrusted by the client to counsel, counsel may ask for a complementary fee calculated on the total sums obtained (upon demand) or safeguarded (in defence). This complementary fee is equal to the amount calculated on the basis of stake of the mission, such as hereafter defined, of which the basic fee will be deducted.
The amount is calculated based upon the stakes according to the scale here below:

The base calculated upon the stakes takes into account the importance of the case, its level of difficulty, and the result obtained.
